Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes Certification Requirements for Single Family Homes in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana.

To earn the ENERGY STAR label, homes must be built to one of the following Northwest ENERGY STAR Homes Builder Option Packages (BOPs).

2009 ENERGY STAR Builder Option Package for Oregon
In July 2008, the Oregon energy code was increased, which created a new specification for certification of an ENERGY STAR home needed to be upgraded to qualify a home as being 15% more efficient than code.

Utility Requirements for Builder Incentives
Utilities may require additional paperwork or pay additional incentives on other measures.  In order to fully understand the available utility incentives and requirements, please contact your verifier or local utility.

Technical Compliance Options
To help builders meet energy efficiency goals, Technical Compliance Options (TCOs) have been developed to allow additional energy efficiency features to substitute for some of the requirements of the BOPs.
